In June 2003, UCP of Central Arizona moved into the Laura Dozer Center, a state-of-the art facility designed specifically to meet the needs of children and adults with disabilities, and their families. The four buildings at the center were named Hope, nurture, Imagine and Believe to represent all that is experienced at the UCP Laura Dozer Center. The center’s environmental design is based on nurturing each individual’s development and potential.
The Laura Dozer Center has more than 23,000 square feet of indoor space with 27,000 square feet of outdoor recreation area. Features of the center include: an inclusive Early Learning Center; large, age appropriate classrooms; various therapy rooms; a indoor rock climbing wall to be used for therapy; and outdoor water play areas for fun and sensory experiences.
