Ways of Giving

• Make an online gift – You can make a gift online using PayPal . Monetary donations provide immediate resources needed to meet program necessities for the children, adults and families served by UCP of Central Arizona. In addition, monetary gifts offer a charitable income tax deduction as allowed by the IRS.
• Give in honor or memory of a loved one – A gift made in the honor or memory of a family member or friend is a meaningful way to celebrate the life of a loved one. Their inspiration and your support of UCP will touch the lives of children and adults with disabilities. After you have made a contribution, we will promptly send a notification to the person or family you have identified for notification.
• Corporate and Workplace Giving - There are many ways that your company can partner with UCP of Central Arizona and support life without limits for people with disabilities. Your corporation can become a participant in Casual for a Cause, allowing your employees to dress casual on a non-casual day for a donation to UCP. Employees giving through United Way, Community Health Charities, State Employee Charitable Campaign, or the Combined Federal Campaign can select UCP of Central Arizona as the beneficiary of their donations. UCP’s staff is more than willing to present to your employees and share with them the importance of their contribution through any of these campaigns. We can also work directly with your company in developing a workplace giving program or a cause related marketing program to benefit UCP of Central Arizona.
• Sponsor or participate in annual events – There are several fundraising events that UCP hosts on an annual basis that your company can sponsor or participate in. Events include the Bondurant Cup, Casual for a Casual, and the Journey of Wonders open house.
• In-Kind Donations - There are many opportunities for in-kind donations for individuals and companies. UCP’s programs can benefit greatly from in-kind donations such as printing, auction and raffle items, special event or sporting event tickets for participants, or any item from our program wish list.
• Make gifts of stock, life insurance, securities, bequest, and more UCP welcomes all types of gifts and bequests to support its many services. Please talk to your attorney or financial advisor to determine what type of gift fits your needs.
- Specific Bequest – A specific dollar amount, percentage of estate, or property can be designated in your will to go to UCP of Central Arizona.
- Residual Bequest – After the estate has paid all expenses, debts and taxes and honored all specific bequests, the remaining amount would be transferred to UCP of Central Arizona.
- Contingent Bequest – Under certain circumstances, UCP of Central Arizona would receive all or a portion of your estate.
- Charitable gift annuity – UCP of Central Arizona, in exchange for an irrevocable gift, will pay a fixed dollar amount during the life of the donor or designated other. The amount that is received is determined by many factors including age of donor, age of beneficiaries, and size of the gift
- Pooled income fund – UCP of Central Arizona receives a gift from you in money or securities which are invested together with similar gifts from other donors. The donor will continue to receive a proportionate share from the income for the rest of the donor’s life.
- Charitable remainder trust – UCP of Central Arizona receives cash, securities or other property from the donor. In return, UCP of Central Arizona returns a percentage of income based on the gift value.
- Charitable remainder annuity trust – UCP of Central Arizona receives an irrevocable transfer of the donor’s money in return for a fixed amount of money to be given to the donor annually for life.
- Revocable trust – This option is for donors who want to be flexible, to give a gift with a variety of assets, and to have the option to take back the gift. This gift would give UCP of Central Arizona money after it has provided income to the donor or designated loved one for life.
- Gifts of Insurance –You can assign UCP of Central Arizona as the beneficiary in your life insurance.
